What's Happening?

The last Full Moon and this one as well have felt like Full Moon energy at least a week beforehand. Perhaps it is because the energy has been high in general since the Equinox in March. High energy is sometimes challenging, especially when it brings up all the stuff that you most don't want to deal with.

The Full Moon in Scorpio promises to dredge up all the sediment that we have pushed aside and place it squarely in front of us. We can respond with our usual overwhelm or avoidance, or we can take the challenge and change whatever is calling for transformation. I hope I can choose the latter!

In addition Mercury will be retrograde from May 6-30. This is generally a time that communications and electronics involved in communication can have some snags. It is a good time to step back and be a good observer of the situation as well as your self.

A heads up to an interesting occurrence this summer as we have a Lunar Eclipse on July 7th followed by a Solar Eclipse on July 21st (the longest in over 100 years) and then another Lunar Eclipse August 5th. Not sure what that means having three eclipses in a row, but it certainly sounds like an interesting summer.

Rejuvenated?
And inspired by the Sun?
Ready for changes!

Pathway to the Stars: Entering the Circle of the Soul

Mystery School takes us on a journey to higher consciousness and the embodiment of the divine energy that we are. A prerequisite to using the laws of the universe, such as the Law of Attraction, in a conscious and deliberate way, is to be in alignment with your Higher Self or Soul. Manifestation from a lower level of consciousness usually brings us more lessons on mastering ourselves rather than the result that we desire. This course helps you to master each level of consciousness so that you may become a more conscious creator in your life.

This Mystery School course consists of five lessons. Each lesson includes written material with illustrations for study, a lecture, meditation exercises, homework that is emailed to Heron, and discussions questions for the discussion board.

Everyone taking the course has access to the Discussion Group so opportunity is available to connect with others who are studying the same Material. You may work through the lessons at your own pace.

Lesson 1 - Circles of Consciousness
Lesson 2 - Mastering the Circle of the Mind
Lesson 3 - Mastering the Circle of the Heart

Ritual

Planting Seeds of Joy - On the Full Moon or within a day or two of it, set out seeds in the moonlight that you have blessed with your joy. Hold them in your hands and feel their aliveness, then set them out to bathe in the light of the moon. Then plant them and tend them with the intention that they bring more joy into your life.

Seeds of potential?
Feed both my body and soul?
With their aliveness

Meditation Exercise

Joy in the Darkness - Take a nice deep breath dropping a root into the Earth and extending branches out into the Sky and Stars. Imagine that darkness surrounds you. As your eyes adjust you see the Milky Way galaxy, a swirl of stars on the canvas of the black space.

Allow yourself to be drawn through space toward the center of the spiral, the center of our galaxy. As you enter the black hole at the center feel the shift in your energy. There in the darkness is a pinpoint of light and you become aware that it is the light of creation. By focusing upon it you can allow it to be whatever you wish. One of the wishes you send to the light is for joy. At that, the light expands and seems to flow toward and over you, washing you in a wave of joy that permeates every cell of your body.

Allow yourself to bathe in this light of joy as long as you like. You can send the light other wishes as well if you want to. When you feel complete, return to your physical presence and feel the joy that still resonates in your body.

Joy is the changer
It doesn't rise from the change
Joy creates the change

Meeting Challenges

? Challenge is the nice word that we use to describe the things happening in our lives that we really wish were not happening. As we have learned to be more positive in the way we talk about our selves and what is happening in the world, we are likely to say, “I am currently being challenged,” rather than “My whole life is falling apart!” Challenges, of course, are lessons and part of life's process of increasing our conscious awareness.

That is the intellectual way of talking about challenges and it all makes perfect sense when we are talking about someone else's challenges. What is true is that our own challenges often carry an emotional charge that make it difficult to remember that they are challenges at all. So how can we meet challenges in the midst of this emotional cloud.

The first thing is to be compassionate with our selves. There is this notion that if you are challenged then there is something wrong with you or you are not spiritual enough. Challenges happen for everyone. At some point in the spiritual journey, there is a shift in the way that you meet challenges that makes them easier to be with. The first step in making that shift is to be compassionate with your self. Love your self and accept where you are and how you are in the moment.

The second way to meet challenge is with curiosity. How is it that the current challenge is perfect for your continued spiritual evolution? Even if you don't know the answer to this question you can allow yourself to wonder about it. Is this challenge a test in which you can demonstrate newfound wisdom? Is it a graduation present where you have mastered one level and it is time to start a new level of the same subject? Allow yourself to wonder.

The third way to meet the challenge is to see what there is in it to be grateful about. Sometimes even the most awful things are filled with awe if we look closely. They also have the greatest potential for transformation. The situations in my life that I liked the least when I was going through them opened me up to change in ways that were unimaginable at the time. Find what is awesome in the awful and be grateful for all that is working in your life.

The fourth way to meet a challenge is to trust. Simple but difficult when the cloud of emotion hangs low over the spiritual mountains and you are not sure that spirit exists at all. Trust means that you know there is a solution even if you can't see it and that all is well even if it doesn't look like it. When we do not trust, fear reigns and chaos appears to be what is real. But there is order underlying even chaos and fear is dependent on our belief in lies. Truth is ever present and things are not usually what they appear to be. Such paradox gives rise to joy when we find our selves living in the trust of the heart rather than the fear and doubt of the mind.

Choose to meet challenge from the heart with compassion, curiosity, gratitude, and trust. Laugh at the absurdities of life and the amazing ways the mind likes to trick us into believing they are real and scare us to death with its stories. The heart knows better and accepts the same challenge that the mind believes is an impossible mission. When we live from the heart, challenge is welcome as is joy, love, and peace. All are part of the whole.

Scare-city is gone
I am doing a-bun-dance
To rhythms of joy
