What's Happening?

Over the past few years I have tracked the waves of energy as they peak and then subside for a while. What is different this year, especially since March is that the peak is extended and then rises again without first subsiding. We can see the effects of this as the weather patterns intensify and people's lives become a little more chaotic. The purpose of these waves of high energy is to shake loose anything that cannot vibrate at the higher levels of consciousness - so the ultimate result is beneficial clearing but the short term effects can be unsettling as our lives are disrupted.

This week we have the Full Moon on Wednesday and the Solstice on Friday. Either one of those would be intense energy all by itself, but they are happening together at a time when the baseline energy is very high. Being aware of this helps you to not personalize some of the effects you may experience in your body and life.

The Full Moon in Sagittarius calls us to get out in nature and move. Both moving your physical body and being in nature are grounding. We all need that right now since high energy makes us feel a bit like space cadets. Slowing down your pace and stopping to smell the roses will serve you well over the next week or two or perhaps even through the summer.

Move like a turtle
Dance the rhythm of nature
Pray with the flowers

Pathway to the Stars: Entering the Circle of the Soul

Mystery School takes us on a journey to higher consciousness and the embodiment of the divine energy that we are. A prerequisite to using the laws of the universe, such as the Law of Attraction, in a conscious and deliberate way, is to be in alignment with your Higher Self or Soul. Manifestation from a lower level of consciousness usually brings us more lessons on mastering ourselves rather than the result that we desire. This course helps you to master each level of consciousness so that you may become a more conscious creator in your life.

This Mystery School course consists of five lessons. Each lesson includes written material with illustrations for study, a lecture, meditation exercises, homework that is emailed to Heron, and discussions questions for the discussion board.

Everyone taking the course has access to the Discussion Group so opportunity is available to connect with others who are studying the same Material. You may work through the lessons at your own pace.

Lesson 1 - Circles of Consciousness
Lesson 2 - Mastering the Circle of the Mind
Lesson 3 - Mastering the Circle of the Heart
Lesson 4 - Mastering the Circle of the Soul
Lesson 5 - Living from Awareness

Stalking awareness
Is like looking for water
While swimming in it

Ritual

Connecting with Flowers - Flower essences are popular today as flowers help us balance our emotions. You can make your own elixir in a way that is similar to how flower essences are made. Creating it on the Full Moon allows you to take in the essence of the flower and the Full Moon at the same time. If you have a garden or even potted plants you can use those flowers or you can go to a park or public garden. Early in the morning following a clear night around the time of the Full Moon, go to whatever flower you feel drawn to and shake the dew off it into a small container. The dew will have been exposed to the light of the Full Moon and have taken on the essence of the flower. Add the dew to a glass of water and savor the elixir that contains both moon and flower energy for balancing your emotional nature.

Loving the plants brings
Joy into body and soul
Sacred nourishment

Meditation Exercise

Return to the Garden - Get yourself in a comfortable position and take a few deep breaths. Drop a root down from your tailbone deep into the Earth and then breathe the good Earth energy up into your heart. Breathe out branches and leaves up to the Sky and the Stars and then breathe the good Sky and Star energy into your heart, so your heart becomes the meeting place of Earth and Sky. Imagine now that you are journeying into this meeting place of Heaven and Earth that can be found within your heart. Here you will find the most magnificent garden - a garden that requires no tending, only your love and connection. Some have called this the Garden of Eden. As you walk around to explore this garden, notice every flower and critter, connect with each tree and stone. Everything here loves you and desires to meet your needs. Are you hungry? Then it will feed you. Are you tired? Then it will create for you a beautiful place to rest. Are you lonely? Then it will send many beings to be with you. Allow yourself to take in the energy of this garden to nourish you spirit. When you are ready you can come back aware of your body, stretching and opening your eyes.

Rest and renewal
Time to just be and to play
Joyful return home

Nature Deficit Disorder?

Someone mentioned to me a book called "Nature Deficit Disorder." I have not read the book but I can imagine its contents. When you consider that human beings were designed to be outdoor creatures and not domestic pets, in the last hundred years or so we have become so far removed from nature and the outdoors that it is a wonder that we have survived. Perhaps our adaptable nature has helped us put up with the very unnatural conditions in which we now live. A deficit of nature can affect us on all levels.

To begin with, the energy of being inside a house is very different from being outside. Inside we are unaware of the rapid sixty cycle electrical current that permeates our bodies. Outside the slow rhythmic vibration of the Earth's heartbeat is what our cells dance to. Inside we barely feel the magnetic pull of the Earth where outside every cell of the body orients to it. The sun, moon, and star light are with us 24 hours a day outside, while inside artificial lighting keeps us awake all hours of the night, pulling us out of our natural rhythms.

I have heard that in order for our bodies to stay healthy we need to be outside an hour a day. Considering that is only 1/24th of the amount that is ideal, I think that is quite remarkable. Can you imagine all the diseases of the body, emotions, mind and spirit that occur when we are not outside for at least an hour a day? Wouldn't it be amazing if such a seemingly simple thing could prevent the epidemic of disease and depression that we see in the world today? I can think of so many things that could be due to nature-deficit: sleep disorders, cancer, depression, anxiety, digestive problems, heart disease, hyperactivity, etc.

Perhaps an hour a day might not cure these conditions but if we have an hour a day from birth to allow our energetic systems to align with the Earth's energy, it might be the best prevention we know. Of course, you might be thinking, "Where am I going to find an extra hour each day just to be outside?" When you work on Earth's clock, everything goes a bit slower. Notice that the deer are not in a hurry and the birds seem to have plenty of time to sing. That is our natural state and if we get ourselves back out in nature, our clock will begin to sync with the Earth and not the 60 cycle of the electric in our houses. The more extended time I spend in nature, the slower time seems to go.

I can always tell when I start to resonate in Earth vibration. Not only do I feel calmer and more flowing, but I also begin to crave natural ways of eating. It feels like there is more time for connecting with the food, appreciating where it was grown and how it nourishes my body. My relationship with nature feeds my soul at the same time my relationship with the food I eat nourishes my body.

Think of it as recharging your Earth batteries. When they run down, our systems just do not seem to function right. So get outside each day and go for a walk or sit under a tree, feel the moonlight and reconnect with a more natural state of being. Nothing could be more important for us at this time of intense change.

Walking in nature
Rebalances my body
Connects me with God
