Winds of Change
New
vision and inspiration for the journey. Full Moon Newsletter - May 2008
May 19, 2008, Full Moon in Scorpio Flow like a river The energy has been pretty intense for the
last three weeks as we head into this Full Moon in Scorpio. We can just
take a look at the Earth herself to see all that has been going on during
this period - cyclones with tsunamis, tornados, and earthquakes. The inner
storms also intensify as we clear away all the old stuff that is clashing
with the new energy coming in. The Full Moon in Scorpio calls us to solitude
where we can cleanse without overwhelming ourselves. Taking time alone,
especially in nature, can allow our systems to adjust to the intensity
as naturally as the snake sheds old skin. Balance at this time requires
us to take the time to recharge our batteries. Solitude brings
us

Mystery School Course (Available in workbook form with CDs, without email
support or discussion group - $40) Pathway to the Stars: Entering the Circle of the Soul Mystery School takes us on a journey to higher consciousness and the embodiment of the divine energy that we are. A prerequisite to using the laws of the universe, such as the Law of Attraction, in a conscious and deliberate way, is to be in alignment with your Higher Self or Soul. Manifestation from a lower level of consciousness usually brings us more lessons on mastering ourselves rather than the result that we desire. This course helps you to master each level of consciousness so that you may become a more conscious creator in your life. This Mystery School course consists of five lessons. Each lesson includes written material with illustrations for study, a lecture, meditation exercises, homework that is emailed to Heron, and discussions questions for the discussion board. Everyone taking the course has access to the Discussion Group so opportunity is available to connect with others who are studying the same Material. You may work through the lessons at your own pace. Alone in nature
Shedding Old Skin - Get in a comfortable
position and take a few deep breaths to relax. Breath a root down into
the Earth and branches and leaves up into the sky and stars. Imagine that
you are out in nature, perhaps in the forest or meadow, relaxed and walking
along. Up ahead on the trail you notice that Grandmother Snake is resting
quite still. You take a few steps closer to observe her, careful not to
disturb her. You can see that she is slowly moving her head and as she
does so, her translucent skin is pealing away from her head. Then her
muscles move rhythmically as she slides her long shiny body out of the
old skin. As she moves on her way, behind her on the path remains the
old skin, a perfect replica but smaller than she is now. As you examine the skin, you can hear her hiss
as she invites you to join her in the molting. You sit down under a tree
and close your eyes. Just as the snake did, you move your head first and
then your body, slowly wiggling out of a skin too small. Perhaps you will
notice what it is that you are leaving behind, perhaps not. But when you
finish and stand up, there is a perfect replica of your body still sitting
there, translucent and smaller than you are now. Feel your shiny new skin
and your expanded new self. When you are ready, wiggle fingers and toes
and come back to the present. Snake sheds its

Sometimes we call it the merry-go-round, sometimes
the rat race or the same-old, same-old. There are many names of the zombie
like state that we sometimes fall into as we go through the motions of
each day. Angeles Arrien calls it "the procession of the living dead."
The culture that we are living in seems to require us to march through
the same motions day after day. We work a lot to get money to buy things
that we then don't have time to use because we are working. Or even when
you are not working at a job, your days are filled with an endless "to-do
list." Fortunately many are waking out of this collective trance
to wonder why we are living as we do and whether there is another way. There are several signs that you are moving out of
the procession. One is that you start getting rid of stuff. It seems as
if so many are doing this right now, no one else wants it! A second sign
is feeling like you don't want to work so hard or much. Since we have
all been told that we are being lazy when we don't want to work, there
is some guilt with this move. Even children are just wanting to stay home
these days instead of running here or there for all their activities.
Perhaps our guidelines need to be changed around work and activity. What
if the most important thing was that whatever we do must be fulfilling?
How would that change things? Life is meant to be fully lived, not just endured.
How many people do you know that worked hard hoping to retire, and before
or just after retirement, they died. More and more people do not even
have retirement as they are struggling financially to live day-to-day,
so even retirement is not an option to get off the merry-go-round. Dying
is certainly one way we get out of the rat race, but wouldn't it be nice
to really live first? If we imagine what a fully alive life would look like,
it would include approaching each day as an adventure. Awake and aware
we would be present in the moment, noticing the ways that we are connecting
with and sharing energy with all that is around us. We would be tuned
to our body's need for rest, activity, and food. As we give energy to
others it would be replenished as we receive from others and from the
natural world around us. Each day would inspire us as we inspire others.
Work would be easy and refreshing. What work we do and how much would
be determined by our own inner guidance that honors body, mind, emotion,
and spirit so that our lives would be lived in true balance. Sound nice? Great! Then let's create such a
life here and now. Visualize it, feel it, and begin living whatever part
of it you can in this moment.
