The Full Moon in Leo captures the sense of
forward movement occurring these days. Whatever was blocked before now
seems to be shaking loose and moving. This can feel great or scary, depending
on your perspective! This forward movement combined with some other events
over the next month should create some interesting experiences. Mercury
goes retrograde from Jan. 28th to Feb. 18th creating, perhaps, the experience
of having one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake. In addition
we are coming up on a Solar Eclipse at the next New Moon on February 6th
followed by a Lunar Eclipse at the following Full Moon on February 20th.
Eclipses are always opportunities to shed old beliefs that do not fit
your current growth pattern.
More esoteric is the opening of the Linain stargate system February 16th -19th. This cosmic event opens the channels of light that carry memories of ancient times into the present. I mention this now as it might be good to prepare for this influx of energy that culminates in the Full Moon Eclipse. Preparation can take the form of getting clear and balanced on all levels, so that the energy coming in will feed into what you are moving into rather than getting blocked by and energizing what you are leaving behind (usually not pleasant). Take whatever steps you need to this next month toward how you really wish to live your life.

Pathway to the Stars: Entering the Circle of the Soul
Mystery School takes us on a journey to higher consciousness and the embodiment of the divine energy that we are. A prerequisite to using the laws of the universe, such as the Law of Attraction, in a conscious and deliberate way, is to be in alignment with your Higher Self or Soul. Manifestation from a lower level of consciousness usually brings us more lessons on mastering ourselves rather than the result that we desire. Seeding the Future - Pick out some seeds
that you could plant this spring either in a garden or a pot and put them
in a bowl. Cut out some small paper hearts and write on them what you
would like to bring into your life. Put the hearts in the bowl with the
seeds. Set the bowl out in the moonlight on the Full Moon to energize
both the seeds and the hearts. Then place the bowl on your altar. Sit
with it over the next month to energize the seed dreams by imagining them
happening and release any patterns or beliefs that conflict with those
dreams. In the spring you can plant the seeds and take an action daily
that is consistent with your dreams.

Weeding the Garden - Get comfortable and take a few deep breaths, grounding your self with a root from your tailbone and extending branches through your crown to the sky and stars. Imagine yourself in a garden that is a representation of your life. As you walk down the paths and rows, notice what is growing and what has died off. Where do things need to be cleared away so new growth can come? Are there clear spaces where you can plant new seeds? What are some of the things that were planted during your childhood that are now ripe and nourishing you? Are there plants there that belong to someone else or are the all yours? What are the unknown plants? Are they your shadow pieces from the unconscious that contain special healing powers or new things emerging that you are not yet aware of? Sit with them and allow them to show you their nature and purpose. As you complete your garden work, allow yourself to feel the beauty here. Work in your garden, composting the weeds and plants that are no longer nourishing you and planting the seeds of new dreams. A well-tended garden contains all that is necessary for your journey into the dawn of this new time.

Getting Real

Many of the truly transformative books that are coming
out these days are aimed at getting real. The time for pretending - for
just moving along with the play - is over. I remember using the phrase,
"Get real," when someone was telling me some crazy story expecting
me to believe it. "Get real" may just be an old phrase whose
time has come, because once you begin to see the crazy stories that abound
around us these days, you wonder how you could have ever accepted them
as real.
So what does it mean to get real? I think it means aligning
with what is true, not just on a physical level but all levels. For example,
when we look at how we are living and its impact on the Earth, getting
real means coming back into balance with the natural systems of the Earth
so that we can have a sustainable future here. That is really very dependent
on the choices you make in each moment. On an energetic level it means
learning to take responsibility for the energy you put out into the world
and understanding that it is a creative force. Being angry at war, for
example, does not create peace, nor does judging unloving people create
more love. Your attitude and corresponding emotions in each moment can
be part of a solution or part of the problem. On a spiritual level, getting
real means living each moment as a spiritual being, for that is truly
who you are. Staying aware of this is a daily practice.
We could look at the word real standing for Remember, Evolve, Align, and Love.
First we need to remember who we are to know what is real. Are we the character we are playing in the costume we donned at birth? Or are we the actor in the archetypal play that has come to create the divine play? What is real is very different depending on your understanding of who you are. The evolution of human consciousness is so obvious now that you really have to be stuck in the play to miss it. We did not come here to reenact the scenes of our parents and ancestors' plays. We came here to transform the play. Look at how you have already made different choices and act from greater awareness, but there is still more to "real-ize."
When we align with spirit, what is real and what is a crazy
story cannot be mistaken. And, of course, the only thing that really is
real is love.
A new year always gives us the opportunity to pause and
ask ourselves how real our life is. Where are you still stuck in crazy
stories about who you are and how you should live and be? Step out of
the story into what is real. Wherever there is fear there is a crazy story
that has tethered you to your ancestors' plays. Cut those tethers and
step out of the old stories that limit your evolution. Align with spirit
and let love guide your thoughts, beliefs, stories, feelings, and actions.
Focus on the world that you wish to live in, not the one filled with stories
that are not REAL!
