Into the vastness of me
Encompassing all

What's Happening?

There seem to be many initiations going on right now for people as they step through gateways into new territory either in their physical lives or their inner world. The Full Moon in Aries brings us to the initiatory fire that asks us to step into it and allow all that is not true to be burned away. True to what? To your path, to your inner fire of spirit, to that which feeds the heart. After the intensities of eclipses and the Equinox, we are continuing to be pressed by life to remain centered, in integrity, and living in a higher consciousness. The "muggle" world seems to be falling apart and it is best to release your attachment to it. Let it go and breathe in the beauty that surrounds you in each moment.

Beauty surrounds me
It rises up from within
I am beauty-full

Pathway to the Stars: Entering the Circle of the Soul

Mystery School takes us on a journey to higher consciousness and the embodiment of the divine energy that we are. A prerequisite to using the laws of the universe, such as the Law of Attraction, in a conscious and deliberate way, is to be in alignment with your Higher Self or Soul. Manifestation from a lower level of consciousness usually brings us more lessons on mastering ourselves rather than the result that we desire. This course helps you to master each level of consciousness so that you may become a more conscious creator in your life.

This Mystery School course consists of five lessons. Each lesson includes written material with graphics for study, a lecture, meditation exercises, homework that is emailed to Heron, and discussions questions for the discussion board. Everyone taking the course has access to the Discussion Board so opportunity is available to connect with others who are studying the same Material. You may work through the lessons at your own pace.

Lesson 1 - Circles of Consciousness
Lesson 2 - Mastering the Circle of the Mind
Lesson 3 - Mastering the Circle of the Heart
Lesson 4 - Mastering the Circle of the Soul
Lesson 5 - Living from Awareness

Problems are practice
In this Mystery School called life
Dream the solution

Ritual

Fire Ceremony - Go for a walk in the woods or around your yard and find a nice dead stick no more than a foot long. You can either wrap the stick with yarn, where each wrap represents something you wish to release, or you can write the things on small pieces of paper and wrap them around the stick and fasten with string, yarn or tape. On the Full Moon or the day before or after, find a place to have a small fire. If you can do that outside it would be great either in your yard or a park, or inside if you have a fireplace or wood-burning stove. Start a fire and, with intention, place the stick in the fire and sing, tone, or chant while it burns. If you have no place to burn a stick, use paper and place the pieces of folded paper in a bowl outside to burn them. Intention is important in a burning ritual, and the use of your voice helps keep your intention focused. Feel gratitude for both how these things have served you as well as for their release.

Release attachments
And ride on the solar winds
Freed into the light

Meditation Exercise

Stepping Into the Fire - Take a few deep breaths and ground yourself with a root that goes deep into the Earth. Imagine that you are walking through the woods to a clearing where your guides are waiting. When you arrive you see that they have started a fire in the center of the clearing and are standing around it chanting. They motion for you to join them and you do. The flames leap into the air as they are fed by the voices. You are asked if you are ready to release all that does not serve wholeness. If you reply, "Yes!", they bring you closer to the fire and ask you to step in. As you do, you feel the warmth and sense its cleansing force on your energy field. The "I" that is aware begins to feel a lightness, like gold must feel as it is refined to its true nature. When the fire burns down you step from the ashes, knowing that nothing that is true and whole can be lost. The guides give you new clothing and perhaps words of wisdom that will support your continued journey. When you are ready, come back to your body, take a deep breath, and open your eyes.

Become the phoenix
Arising from the ashes
Untouched by the flames

Where Are You Going?

Linda Heron Wind

Perhaps the most difficult part of transformation is that you never know where you are going until you get there. The state of not-knowing is difficult for the mind that only feels calm when it is sure it knows the road ahead. Some brave souls have learned to love the adventure of not knowing, but that requires a great deal of trust in that which cannot be seen.

It is interesting to me when I talk with people who sound like they know where they are going. I like to wonder what it will be that derails their plans and when. The cosmic coyote plays its games with our minds until we begin to laugh at the absurdity of moving into new territory and really knowing anything about what it will be like. Like early explorers, we never cease to be surprised by the landscape.

Like those explorers, we do have guides to this new place that we are entering. Many teachers and masters have come to Earth in various spiritual traditions to talk to us in stories and metaphors about the new consciousness that we are entering. But just like stories about a new world, it is never quite the same when you arrive there. Yet the stories help us open to the possibility and point the way to the inner state that awakes our presence.

Where we are going is not a where at all, at least not in the way we think. Instead, it is awareness, an inner feeling state that allows us to see the very landscape we have been living in through different eyes. Perhaps it might be like putting on night vision goggles and seeing all the things that were there all along, but not visible to us. We are moving into a radical shift in perception.

We have all had glimpses through the doorway and what moves us through is the willingness to embrace the fear of losing everything. We must release the world as we know it to see the world as it really is. What is it that you would cling to as you step into the initiatory fires that will clear your vision? Before the fire, we are afraid of loss - loss of career, loved ones, possessions, identity, money, status, self. After the fire, we are aware that there is no loss of anything that is real.

So ask yourself the questions, "What is real?" and "Who am I, really?" Who is the "I" that cannot be destroyed by the fire? Let yourself feel the answer for there is no way to describe it except through stories and metaphors. When you know who you are, no question arises about where you are going.

Sit in the silence
Transcend time and space into
Infinite presence
