Moon in Pisces
Joy is the love song An eclipse of the Moon is an opportunity to
release emotional patterns that are not serving our wholeness and holiness.
Take some time to assess what old emotional patterns of reaction and drama
need to be cleared for you to be more joyfully who you are in the present
moment. Two weeks later on September 22nd and the New Moon there is a
Solar eclipse just before the Equinox (Sept 23). A Solar eclipse asks
us to look at the outer patterns - how we use our time, energy, voice,
and action in the world. Are these in alignment with our highest self?
If not perhaps it is time to eclipse them out of our lives and bring in
patterns that support us as we learn to live more fully from our whole
and authentic selves. The Equinox energy is a time of balance of the opposites
and it calls us to unity within and outside as we continue our journey
into the darkness and depths of our souls this winter. This Full Moon in Pisces calls us to listen deeply to our inner voice. It is a time of feeling and assessing where we are in the journey. Use water for clearing and sit by water to release old patterns. Let the water nourish your body and cleanse all that does not support living in a joyful, loving, and sustainable way. Shifting and changing FALL RETREAT
If we are to survive on this sweet Earth and move into the predicted time of love and peace, we must learn to be the conscious dreamers of our lives and our world. Shamans have known how to dream the world and jaguar teaches us the secrets that the darkness holds. Together we will make our dream masks, call on the jaguar and dance into the darkness to bring these ancient wisdom ways more fully into our lives. Join us as we dance, create ceremony and sacred art, and ride the jaguar into the darkness. TIME: Friday September

Water Rituals for Clearing - Water has long been used as a way of clearing the energy body. The ritual of baptism is one example of this. Water can be drunk as an elixir, prepared by placing a crystal in a clear glass container under the light of the full moon. Drink the water as part of a ritual for aligning with your crystalline light body. You can pray over water and then use it for blessings. You can place words under a glass of water to let the water to absorb them. Words you are releasing will be picked up by the water and it can then be offered back to the Earth. Words you wish to embody will be absorbed by the water and it can then be drunk. Use water to create ritual around this Pisces Full Moon eclipse to help you release the emotional issues that keep you from connecting deeply with your inner voice. Water is flowing
Hearing the Inner Voice - Get comfortable and take a few deep breaths, pushing a root down into the Earth from your tailbone and branches up into the sky and stars from the top of your head. On each out-breath release tension and on each in-breath bring in peace. Imagine that you are walking in the woods on a path that feels familiar. You come to some steps that are carved into stone and begin to walk down them, passing through an archway at the bottom. You step out into a meadow with a small lake at one end. As you look around you see a small cottage near the trees across the meadow and know that a guide awaits you there. Cross the meadow and notice if there are any animals that come to walk with you. You see your guide sitting on the porch in a rocking chair and there is an empty chair beside the guide. The guide motions for you to come and sit. As you sit there looking out at the lake and the meadow, you listen as the guide talks. You might hear words or just have an awareness, image or feeling of what is being said. When you feel complete, thank the guide, and return to the archway and move up the steps to the path in the woods. Then come back to your physical body, taking a deep breath. Listen carefully

Sweet Surrender
Linda Heron Wind,
Ph.D. One of the first issues that kept surrender
at bay within me was the question of who was I surrendering to. Surrender
is not giving up but giving over, but to what or who? Many difficult experiences
have led me to see that I am surrendering the will of my lower self to
my higher self. A good metaphor for this is imagining that I am trying
to drive a car but I have only a very small spot that I can see through
on the windshield, I do not have the map, and I don't know where I am
going. I focus very intently through that one small opening trying to
figure it all out. The result is feeling very stressed, anxious, depressed,
etc. When I realize that I actually have a chauffeur who knows where we
are going and has a map (and is an excellent driver I might add), I move
to the place of surrender and turn over the wheel and controls. Then I
can just enjoy the scenery and trust what comes. Trusting that there is someone driving who
has a plan is, of course, no small feat. It took me lots of experiences
where I could compare what happened when I tried to drive with what happened
when my higher self was driving, for me to begin to trust. Now it is so
much easier to know that the thing I have the most control over is my
inner environment. Once I have learned to control that, perhaps I will
have earned my drivers license. To try to drive my outer life before I
can navigate the inner roads is silly at best. Surrender is one of the most important parts
of my inner environment that I can control. I can fight or surrender.
Believe me, I have had many inner battles where I thought I won only to
find that what I was fighting for was not what I expected it to be. My
mind will sometimes get arrogant and believe that it knows how things
should be for me to be happy, and then it fights for it with my higher
self who knows so much more. My higher self does not like to fight so
it doesn't resist much when my mind and lower self go to battle with it.
It is as if it says, "Ok, have it your way and see what happens.
It's not a good idea from my perspective, but I will be waiting when you
see through the illusion that is tempting you." I love my higher
self's patience and willingness to let me have my own uncomfortable experiences. Over the years, I have become more likely to
listen, less likely to fight, and happy to surrender to the guidance of
my higher self. My mind can be ok with not knowing, and free of expectations
and attachments to things going a certain way. Sweet surrender is a state
of presence that allows me to align with my higher self. It reminds me
of an old John Denver song - "Sweet, sweet surrender; live life without care; like a fish in the water, like a bird in the air." So surrender those old control patterns that end up in the ditch, and let your chauffeur drive awhile. Surrender calls up Surrender into
