January 2005 (Full Moon in Leo - January 25, 5:32 AM Eastern Standard Time)

Earth is beautiful
I am grateful to be here
Walking in Beauty

Dancing and praying
Circling round together
Held in the One Heart

What's Happening?

Beauty and ritual are hallmarks of the full moon in Leo. This seems very appropriate for the beginning of this new year, for both attention to the beauty that surrounds us each day and the creation of rituals that help keep our energy focused are good ways channel the enormous energy that is pouring through now. With tsunamis in the outer world as well as in our inner worlds, what was has been changed forever. We are in our second year of Uranus in Pisces (which lasts until 2010) and structure and form are giving way to the flow of energy that changes the face of illusion. As one global family we feel both the pain and awe of the forces of change in motion. Yet in the larger cycle, death and destruction give way to birth and new growth just as winter gives way to the warmth of spring. We can only witness the changes without knowing their place in the greater cycles of destiny, sending prayers of love, peace and grace for the process. Let prayer become our daily ritual as we flow with the changes this year.

Tsunami arrives
When we least expect it to
Testing perception

Like a child I come
With innocent perception
I see what is real

Upcoming Workshops

Emotional Education for Parents and Children. Starting in February, I will be offering an 8 week class in the Rochester area on emotional education for families. This is based on the PATHS program adapted to family use. Parents and children will learn to:

  • Identify emotions in themselves and others
  • Express emotions in adaptive and functional ways
  • Identify problems that give rise to emotions
  • Resolve problems in a way that works for everyone

If you are interested in more information on this workshop you can e-mail me at LHWind@aol.com.

January is a dreaming time of things to come. I am dreaming what the new year will bring and will update my website as I know more of what workshops are calling me.

Details are available on the Workshops page of this website or the CIRCLE website www.circleinc.org.

Ritual

A Lightworkers Prayer - Light shining through a mirror onto a holographic field breaks into millions of unique pieces. I am one piece and you are another. Each piece contains the whole and through that wholeness is in connection with each other piece. This web of connection is how we send prayers, like energetic telegrams to all other pieces. Each piece is important, but no piece more important than another. Human pieces of this light take turns holding the light, love, peace, beauty, strength, and joy for each other human piece, and for the Earth itself with all the pieces of the light that make her up. The Lightworkers Prayer is to feel the connection each day with all the other pieces of the light and send whatever is needed. As you hold this intention in your heart, use your feeling level of intuition to see what is needed where. Perhaps the people in the tsunami areas need some joy or the sea animals and the land. You might be led to connect with the waters of Earth that need love. Go where you are led and give what is needed. Continue this ritual daily through the whole moon cycle and see if you would like to sign up for this service on an ongoing basis. More lightworkers are needed who can honor the illusion of separation by remaining in wholeness.

Waves of love pour out
Larger than the Tsunami
To those who were spared

Meditation Exercise

The Way of Joy - Get comfortable and take a few breaths to relax. Imagine yourself climbing a hill. You are following a stream of water that has the greenest plants growing along it. The trees are tall even though you are getting quite high. There seems to be abundance all around as you move silently up the hill, listening to the symphony of the water as it cascades down the multicolored rocks. As you near the top of the hill you see the heart shaped opening in the stone from which the water pours. Kneeling down you give a prayer of thanks as you touch your hand to your heart and then to the water. Cupping your hands you allow the water to fill them and bring the water to your lips. Drinking deeply you feel it flowing through your body, to each cell it carries its sweet, fresh, pureness, its life-giving essence. It heals you and opens a space in your own heart for this water to begin to flow from the original source. As every atom of your body is bathed in this vital energy, joy begins to arise within you. It feels as if it is coming from each cell, joining the streams that flow from the spring opening in your heart. Everywhere you look in your life feels abundant as it is nourished by this joy. You realize this spring has always been in your heart, hidden from view perhaps by the lushness around it. And now that you have found it, joy flows from you out into the world like the water flows from the spring, giving life to all.

I am that I am
Complete and whole this moment
Living joy and love

Inspiration - More Wisdom From Trees

What is Easy?

You think it is difficult to stay in one place for a lifetime
with no choice to move around.
I tell you that staying in one place is easy compared to choosing.
The wind blows and there is no choice to stay or take cover, we stay.
Those of you with legs and fins and wings
fill your days with choices of which path to take and how long to stay.
We watch you with interest in what makes you go this way or that.
Is it the scent or color, or your memory of the last time you were here?
Perhaps for the fox or the hawk decision is simple.
Humans, however, make nothing simple!
Worrying over past choices and vacillating on the current ones,
the mind confuses the heart that knows which way to go.
We can offer advice from our sedentary lives:
quiet yourself and come into the moment,
for the answers always come from the silence,
not from chatter or frantic movement.
What is easy is a matter of perception.

There is No Way to Joy - Joy is the Way

We look for joy in many places - in people, things, places, food, songs, circumstances, jobs, nature, or _______ (you fill in the blank). It often seems like joy arrives only to mysteriously disappear again. How many times have you thought about your visions or dreams and the joy that they would bring if they manifested? Yet what makes you think that if you cannot now access joy, it would magically be yours to possess if your dreams came true? Have you ever gotten what you wanted in the past? How long did joy stay with you then?

The error in our belief and perhaps in our perception is that, rather than coming from outer experience, joy arises as an inner state and, as such, is created by inner choices not outer manifestations. There is a considerable body of scientific evidence now that happiness is not related to outer circumstances but correlates instead with a deep sense of inner connection. We can seek joy as a reaction to certain outer conditions but can only own joy by finding it within ourselves.Click here for the full article.
