November 2004 (Full Moon in Gemini - November 26, 3:07 PM Eastern Standard Time) Each
step in beauty Return to presence
The moon in Gemini is a time for weaving a new web of understanding
both within us and among us. This might be a good time to focus on creating
new connections within our nervous system that allow us to respond to
life in more open, accepting and loving ways. Since this opportunity is
presenting itself at Thanksgiving, a time when families often come together
in gratitude, there should be ample occasions to practice a new inner
attitude toward life. I have noticed that many people seem to be dealing
with core issues right now, many of which originate in our families. Being
more accepting of life first requires that we accept ourselves more completely
just as we are. From that place of unconditional self-acceptance we can
extend acceptance to others in our family, just as they are. Old patterns
of withholding acceptance from ourselves or others until we reach the
desired level of "perfection" our culture requires, must be
released if we aspire to create a peaceful and loving society. Release
it with gratitude for the understanding of all the pain and suffering
that judgment creates both inside and outside of us. Instead embrace the
true perfection of unconditional acceptance.
Singing the Star Song Dancing the Star Path Details are available on the Workshops page of this website or the CIRCLE website www.circleinc.org. A Song of Gratitude - One way to harness the power of your mind is to assign it a task that brings about a high vibration. Singing or chanting with a specific focus does that. You can use a song or chant that you know or make one up. Begin singing or chanting out loud or to yourself with a focus of gratitude for all there is in your life that serves you.To each thing, being, person, or element sing a verse of the song or repeat the chant. Think of the song or chant as a way that you can give a gift back to what serves you. Continue this process throughout your day, as you dress, shower, eat, drive, walk and any time that you do not need to use your mind for some specific task. The song or chant becomes like background music in your head. Often after doing this for a period of time you will find yourself in a profound silence with a deep feeling of gratitude. It would be good to do this on Thanksgiving Day (perhaps even the day before if you need some practice) and continue it through until the full moon on Friday. Holding a focus of gratitude for an extended period of time makes it easier to be in a state of acceptance and it allows your brain to become entrained to the vibration of gratitude. Songs of gratitude
As you allow this galaxy of light, space, and form to spin around you, as you look more closely, you become aware that within it are star systems, suns, planets and moons, within the spaciousness of your being. You can see the planet Earth and as you get closer, the oceans and mountains upon her. Still closer you see trees, plants, animals, and people. Notice that all the people and beings are a part of your energy. Within all of this you see the physical form of what you call yourself. All of these things that you see are part of the Shining Presence of Sacred Unity. Like nesting dolls each is a part of the other and yet is the whole as well.Allow yourself to feel the shining, the unity, the wholeness that you are. I am divine light
