2004 (Full Moon Eclipse in Taurus - October 27, 11:07 PM Eastern Daylight
Time)
Diversity is
The primary principle
Within Unity
Magic happens when
I am centered in my heart
And imagining!
What's Happening?
The full moon in Taurus offers us nurturing, comfort, beauty
and solid presence. I am thinking of this full moon eclipse as a time
for fully embodying our spirits in our physical bodies and becoming present
for our lives. What does that look like? Most of us are able to achieve
presence for brief periods of time, perhaps even long periods if we are
in nature or away from our daily lives. But how would your life be different
if you were fully present for all of it? Now is the time to call that
experience. The experience we have in life reflects the quality of beingness
that we bring to it. Can we call the beauty and love that is in each of
us forward into each moment? And how would your experience change as a
result of doing that?
I don't know how many of you have seen the movie, "What
the Bleep do we know?" but if you have not, I highly recommend it.
The movie, through both story line and documentary, illustrates this very
understanding - that what we experience is the result of what we bring
to the situation. We are in the midst of a huge paradigm shift in how
we view our world and ourselves in it. Most of us are already aware of
the new paradigm but struggling to implement it in a daily world that
does not appear to embrace it. Yet this new world is just as available
to us as the old one, if we can stay present and choose it. Let's use
this full moon eclipse and the final pentacle on the 28th as a time of
choosing to really show up and live what we know.

Upcoming Workshops
The Fall 2004 programs that I will be facilitating include:
- October 27, 7-8:30 PM Dreamwalking: Using Dreams for Guidance
Lecture for OURS group at the Irondequoit Library in Rochester, NY
Dreams are a rich source of information about your life, the everyday
world and the spirit world. People over time have used dreams to guide
their lives. While there are many different kinds of dreams and ways
to interpret them, we will work with several different systems that
you can use to understand your dreams better. We will also explore
dreamwalking, the art of conscious dreaming and consciously shifting
the dream of your everyday experience.

Through magic doorways
- December 12, 1-5 PM The Dancing that is the Stillness - Entering
the North Gate in Victor, NY.
In the North we must learn to dance with the breath and use sound vibration
to clear the mind. With clear focus and stillness we enter into the
Mind of God. Entering the Circle of the Soul through the North Gate
represents the mastery of mind, where thoughts and images serve unity
rather than separation.

Ritual
Star of Presence - If you did the ritual suggested
in the last newsletter, you can use the pentagram or star created during
that ritual for this current one. If not, draw and cut out a five pointed
star that is about six inches across. In each point of the star put a
word or draw an image that you associate with your vision of being fully
present in your life. In the center find a word or draw an image representing
the unity of all these qualities within you. Create this star on the full
moon and before the eclipse, place a lit candle over the center of the
star, letting it burn until the end of the pentagram alignment the following
day (28th) at 6:49 PM Eastern time. This will draw energy to help ground
this new level of presence into your life.
The five-pointed star
Calls full presence in body
Show up for your life!
Meditation Exercise
Loving Yourself - Get into a comfortable position and take
a few deep breaths to relax. Imagine something that brings up the feeling
of love within you. It might be a pet or special place in nature. Sometimes
our feelings for people are mixed and complex but if there is someone
you have very pure love feelings for, it could be that person. Spend some
time getting very clear with the images, so you can feel the love feelings
very strong within your heart chakra. Then allow the feelings to become
a color. It can be any color you like or that feels right to you. Once
the color is strong, imagine that the color is a blanket of love that
you wrap around yourself, allowing you to feel these same love feelings
for yourself. Work with this mediation a number of times until you can
move quickly and easily to feeling the colored blanket of love around
you. Then use this anytime you need to come back present with yourself.
A blanket of love
Surrounds and permeates me
It's me loving me
Inspiration
My soul is hungry
For inspiration today
Its coffers empty
Psalms from tree beings
Majestic singers of truth
Share what the trees know
Grace
When doubting arises, I think
of what the tree said
The other day when I was walking.
It was a large tree that had started to fall
Apparently weakened at its base
Caught by two younger trees now bent with its weight
And an older one that supports only its crown.
I stood quietly observing the way she rested so peacefully
In the arms of her sisters.
No need to apologize for the weakness that put her there or
Her heavy weight that they were chosen to bear.
Her sigh was audible as they all swayed in the wind together
Rocking in the cradle of love they created for her.
When my circumstances cause me to doubt myself and
Where I am in my life at this moment
I recall this tree's whispered words,
"What is, simply is. No need to question why.
Just be with what is in all your glory!"
Her presence is not less because of her circumstance
Nor is she embarrassed about her weakness
Her beauty still shines and she continues to pass on wisdom
From her reclined position in the forest
Gracefully accepting what is.

If Love is the Answer, What is the Question?
by Linda Heron Wind, Ph.D.
If we believe that love is the answer to all of life's questions, what
exactly are those questions? Some of the more obvious questions seem to
be the big ones, like, "How can we create a more peaceful world?"
or "What is the most powerful thing in the universe?" We all
could easily answer those questions with "love." But what about
the smaller questions that are more personal and connected with our daily
lives? Click here for the full
article.
