May 2004 (Full Moon, Eclipse in Scorpio, May 4th) Singing
hymns of praise Being inspired - Everywhere there seems to be a lot of releasing and many people leaving the planet, perhaps to be of greater service from the other side. The Scorpio full moon eclipse weaves the visible and invisible worlds together allowing us to clearly see through the illusion. This total lunar eclipse is not visible in North America. To me this means that the eclipse is about releasing patterns in the underworld or unconscious or that a portal is created to allow the connection of the unconscious with the conscious. Look for greater awareness to flow and clearer views of yourself, remembering to be gentle with all that you see.

We are building energy for the Medicine Circle Women's Vision Quest that promises to be an amazing weekend of ceremony and questing. There are a few spaces left. Changing Woman Camp is starting to fill so get your registration in early to hold a place. Dancing into the Star Lodge is for women or men and will provide an initiation
into the South Gate on the wheel. We enter this gate through silence,
leaving reaction and judgment at the door. In the silence we begin the
mastery of awareness, where we will ride the solstice energy to clear
vision. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
These are all held at Shequaga in Dansville near Rochester, NY. Details

(www.circleinc.org): The Altar of Wholeness - When we create in the physical world the symbolic representation of our inner process, it helps to hold energy for the inner changes and create a feeling level for the new stories we are seeding in the world. An image that is very powerful is one where all parts of the self are invited to a round table to be honored and heard. There are many ways to work with making this image real. You could find small figures or natural objects and place them around a table (round rock, piece of wood, etc.) in your garden, on an altar, in the woods, on your bedside table, or wherever it feels right to create this work of art. Each object represents a different part of yourself - the ones you feel comfortable and the ones you don't. An alternate way of doing this would be to create clay figures, or do it as a painting. Pay attention to colors, shapes, and placement as you construct
this Table of Wholeness. What feelings arise in the process? Seeing the wholeness
Journey into the Shadow - As the shadow of the Earth
passes over the Moon's face we have greater access to and ability to see
clearly the shadow parts of ourselves. Get comfortable and take a few
deep breaths to relax and center yourself. Imagine you are in a meeting
room with a round table and chairs around it. Maybe the room is bright
and decorated with nature scenes or perhaps an open porch that overlooks
a forest or pond - whatever seems like a place surrounded by beauty. You
are in the room and seated at the table waiting for the arrival of the
shadow pieces. You can invite some of the known parts of yourself or guides
to be present if you wish to. You state the intention to see more clearly the shadow pieces of yourself that live in your unconscious and influence you from behind the scenes. Now imagine that the first piece arrives in a costume that looks exactly like a person in your life that really pushes your buttons, or that you hold some judgment about. This piece comes in and sits down across from you and you begin a dialog with it to try to understand better how it has served you and what it needs to come into the light to work with you. When you feel complete with that piece, the next piece will
arrive, again in a costume familiar to you. Each piece comes as someone
in the outer world that is difficult for you to deal with. As they come
and you listen to them, you begin to see how these outer characters in
your play have been reflecting to you what you could not see or love inside
you. You can continue this process over a number of meditations, and perhaps use what you find as material for constructing your Altar of Wholeness. Deep in inner space The monks of the forest are

This
Month's Article "The universe is not made up of atoms - it is made
up of stories." The first time I heard this quote there was a flower
that opened within me that has since been informing me about the importance
of stories. I have become aware that stories are like seeds that we plant
each time we tell them, whether to ourselves or others. The stories we
tell are the creators of what we call the reality of our daily experience.
What kinds of stories are we telling ourselves about who we are, what
we are like, why we are here, what others are like, and what the world
is like? Click here for the full article. If you have comments on this newsletter or ideas for future topics, call Linda Heron Wind at (585) 924-5620 or send e-mail to LHWind@aol.com.
