Fullness of the moon What's Happening? Full moon on July 13th as we approach Lammas or the celebration of the grain harvest on August 2nd. When I listen to so many challenging things that are happening in people's lives right now, including my own, I have to pause to put things into perspective. I walk among the trees and talk to the snake that has taken up residence under my bicycle. I notice the veggies and weeds that continue to grow in my garden. The sun shines and the rain falls. The cycles of change keep turning in nature and in me. Lammas is a time for appreciating the growth and grain in our lives, both the literal harvest in nature that nourishes our bodies daily and the harvest from our own journey through life. Where are you different than you were last year at this time? What seeds did you plant in the spring that are now in full bloom? Break bread in gratitude for all that is growing within you and around you. Bread that feeds my heart The weekend of the Summer Solstice, I will be facilitating The Dance of the Authentic Self at Shequaga in Dansville. I am very excited about this opportunity to spend more extended time together to create a dance that will draw on the powerful Solstice energy to move to a new level of authenticity with ourselves and each other. See the web site for a workshop registration .
Appreciation of life - On the full
moon spend a day of appreciation. Begin at sunrise and continue until
the full moon rises. Whatever you do that day, appreciate it - the people
you meet, the food you eat, the clothes you wear, the car you drive, the
home you live in, the plants and animals around you, your own body, your
mind, your emotions, your spirit, your guides, the earth, the air, the
fire, the water, etc. Speak out loud your appreciation for all these things. Moonifestation -- If you have done the appreciation exercise above you will be in a perfect space to moonifest something in your life. While the full moon is up (even if it is cloudy) go outside and sit on the earth. Begin by toning a sound that you can feel vibrating in your heart chakra. It can be an "om" or "oo" or "ah" sound, or just humming. Then with your eyes closed visualize what it is that you would like to bring into your life. See it as if it had already happened. While you hold the vision tone again feeling the vibrations carry it deep into the earth and out to the moon. The earth and the moon will hold the vibration until it comes into being. Visions are new songs Preparing the ground Two magazines that I really enjoy are "HOPE:
Inspiring people, encouraging change" and "Yes!
a journal of positive futures." I look forward to reading
the articles about the wonderful things that people all over the world
are doing to create the world we all want to live in. You can access information
on these magazines at www.hopemag.com

The Path of Integrity Integrity is an interesting word. The dictionary defines
it as, "the state of being whole." That makes sense to me as
it seems like it comes from the word integration and I think of that as
bringing the parts of myself together into wholeness. An image that comes
to mind is that of throwing a pebble into a pond. One pebble creates a
beautiful pattern of concentric rings around a center. If two or more
pebbles are thrown, however, rings begin to run into each other and no
clear center can be seen. That is how I feel sometimes when there are
two parts of me that have different agendas - they usually run into each
other. I end up losing my center and falling out of integrity. Click
