April Full Moon (Introduction) April was a strange month for many of us and while the newsletter was written and ready to go on the full moon of April, you're likely to be finding it at the new moon of May. So enjoy your spring! Joy is all around Joy - I invite you Holy harmony What an amazing time we live in!! Energy is pouring into the Earth plane magnifying both our areas of light and the areas of darkness. No hiding of unfinished business now, it is staring us in the face calling for resolution. Our deepest fears present themselves for unveiling and dissolve
into love as we dare to step forward and call out their names in the dance
of truth. I am struck with an awareness of the magnificent the web that
weaves our lives together into the most beautiful tapestry of healing
and wholeness. Each of us weaving our own lives in the most authentic
way we are able creates for the others the contrasting colors that are
needed for their journeys. Yet such energy is most challenging as we attempt to hold onto some semblance of order in our lives. It is a bit like trying to control the speed and direction while riding on a roller coaster - an impossible task. If we can remember that the tracks are laid ahead of us by spirit, our higher selves, it is easier to trust and enjoy the thrill of the ride knowing that all is well in the grand scheme of things. Clear and clear again Energy shifting The Mastery of Love was postponed
due to the unusual weather we have been having. Ice storm followed by
flooding then more snow, no electric, etc. seemed a bit unsettling as
we moved into April. So the Mastery of Love will take place on
May 4 (the first Sunday in May). The final mystery school workshop will
be offered later in the summer. Stay tuned for the date. These workshops
take place at the CIRCLE Yurt in Victor (see workshop schedule for dates
and times). To be eligible to take these workshops you must have completed
Pathway to the Stars: The Practice of Harmony, either the workshop
or the workbook. If you need the workbook you can order off the web site,
by email, by phone, or pick one up at my office. The purpose of this requirement
is to have everyone familiar with the concepts so we can quickly move
to a deeper level with them. Let me know by email or phone if you want
to attend. The first weekend in June I will be facilitating
a Medicine Circle vision quest for women in Dansville. This is
a wonderful opportunity to seek vision for your life by spending time
out in a beautiful spot in nature. See the full description under workshops.
The weekend of the Summer Solstice I will be facilitating The Dance of the Authentic Self at Shequaga in Dansville. I am very excited about this opportunity to spend more extended time together to create a dance that will draw on the powerful Solstice energy to move to a new level of authenticity with ourselves and each other. See the more extended description under workshops on the web page. Love fills the spaces Not just a feeling Surrender to love Earth Altar - Now that signs of spring are here and we are emerging from hibernation in the cave of our homes, it is nice to create a place in nature to make daily offerings of gratitude for our Earth Mother. It is easy to forget in our day to day rush how supported we are by the plants and animals that nourish us, by the waters that flow through us, by the sun that warms us, by the breath that gives us life. Find a spot in nature that calls you that you can visit each day, either near your home or along a route that you might walk. It could be a rock, a tree, a waterway, or whatever feels right to you. Then put some cornmeal and tobacco in small bags or pouches that you can take with you outside. Each day go to this spot to make an offering of tobacco in gratitude for all the Earth has given you that day. Make an offering of cornmeal as a symbolic gesture of nurturing the Earth back. You can also commit to one thing you will do that day to give back to the Earth. It might be to conserve water, recycle, hang your laundry outside rather than use electric, sing a song, notice beauty, talk to your plants or the trees, or whatever feels right to you. Chanting feeds my soul The Magic Tree - Find a tree outside where you can sit with your back against the trunk. Make yourself comfortable, closing your eyes and relaxing your body. Begin by breathing in and then out through your tailbone imagining that there is a root that extends down into the earth and then in through that root and out of the top of your head through the branches and leaves that reach up into the sky. Breathe in through the branches and out through the root. Continue this "tree" breath for a while and then come into stillness within yourself and feel the line between your back and the tree dissolve. Move into a sense of merging with the tree in a receptive state so that you become the tree. Notice what it feels like as a tree, rooted in one spot for your whole life. What does the tree see, feel, hear, smell, taste, and know? Become aware that the tree is giving you a gift of tree awareness. Stay in unity with the tree as long as you wish and then gradually become aware of yourself as a separate being sitting with the tree. After you come back into your body and open your eyes, express your gratitude to the tree for its gift. Even the Sun Will Die by Ekhart Tolle. Not a book but an interview (on tape or CD) with Tolle that took place on 9/11/01. Into the moment Playing with Drama Ahhh drama! How we so love to engage
with the physical world. After all isn't that one of the reasons we came
to Earth? I don't know if the angels get into drama but I rather doubt
it. Perhaps Earth is the only place that we can really get into character
and lose ourselves in the role and costume that we have assumed in order
to be here. Using the play as metaphor for life, we can understand the
role of drama in our lives. If your life is a play, you are the main
character, and everyone else is a supporting actor or actress, there are
some important questions that come up. What is the plot to this play?
What is the obstacle that must be overcome to create resolution? Who is
this character that you have taken on to develop throughout the play?
